What a Gap

Where do I even begin? I have clearly slacked on keeping up with the blogosphere. Life has it’s distractions and it’s shameful that I haven’t been able to pull out so many of the amazing things that have happened over these last two years. It feels a little daunting, so here is the highest of the highlights:

I last left off at the end of the hunting season where Beth started her hunting addiction. I’m so grateful for a wife that has taken to every single thing that I’ve introduced her to: hiking, hunting, and skiing. God really did find the most perfect woman for me.

March 6, 2021, the start of the family slope runners.

There is also Topher, who has yet to get bit by the hunting bug, but has become quite the shredder on a snowboard. To fast forward to the current day, he just finished his first season with the school ski club and we couldn’t be happier. He’s really put himself out there and has found that he really enjoys the extracurricular activities.

In faith related news, shamefully, this should have been it’s own glorious post:

Topher’s first Communion!

It was a moment and we’re just so proud of our son, and who he’s become. It’s also interesting to look back at this and think, wow, he’s really closed the height gap in a hurry!

With the reception of his first Holy Communion, he took on the role of Altar Server, and he loves it. I remember seeing him serve for the first time and felt a bit weepy. I love the cassock by the way, I pray that’s a glimpse into the future…

Here is another highlight that deserves it’s own post, and I may be able to make up for it once Toph finally gets his citizenship document from the government!

Adoption finally finalized! November 22, 2021

Since we see such a sharp dressed individual here, we never get a good picture of us all dressed up, that is a major complaint from Beth, so here is one of my favorites from Easter 2022

Here are some of the picture highlights from summer 2022:

From the Caves for Toph’s 12th birthday adventure, to a family Seneca Lake vacation, to more lake time on Chautauqua Lake, to watching the Red Sox get absolutely clobbered on our Boston adventure.

One of my all time favorite pictures of us at a family wedding.

I think that’s probably good for now. I hope to get back on board with this as things develop. I already know what the next post will be!
